It starts out quite fun, and there is a lot of word-for-word text from the original Jane Austen novel. However, it gets rather gross - e.g. in Lady Catherine de Burgh's dinner party when Elizabeth battles the ninjas for entertainment - in the original book, Lady Catherine criticises Elizabeth's piano-playing for lack of practice; here it's a judgement of fighting skills. I can see why some people hated it - but you have to really suspend disbelief (there are no skunks in England that I know of)

I bought this book thinking it was going more fun than Pride and Prejudice. It turns out it's precisely what they say it is: IT'S PRIDE AND PREJUDICE PLUS ZOMBIES. This means if you hate pride and prejudice, don't get this book.
