Reviews: Fullmoonblue (USA: IN) (2008/02/22):
Interesting perspective. She's definitely got a political agenda though.

FeurImmerFrei (USA: NY) (2008/06/18):
It's a relatively good book and most of the stuff that she's saying do make perfect sense. However, I did feel that she did become too personal at times, following the current trend of self-victimization for profit.

I am glad that she made it to the U.S. though, it's relatively true that it's now harder than ever in Europe to publicly denounce fundamentalistic religions, especially with the current demographic trends.

I didn't really feel that she had a political agenda as much as she wanted to shed a different light on a familiar topic while allying with the non-apologetic infidels, while avoiding being too politically correct. I had personal experience in a culture that's somewhat similar to that which she describes, and most of the things that she has said are indeed very true and can manifest themselves once you get past the initial "best-friend effect" that's common in all viral religions. Unfortunately, many people try to escape the hardships of life by following the first thing that sounds good without giving much thought to the consequences of their life-changing decisions. Those consequences may not be that clear in the beginning, and even be deliberately obscured by the religious figures.

Anyway, Pastafarianism rocks!
