mb (USA: MI) (2009/04/06): I liked this book. It features Sabine, assistant to Parsifal, for 25 years they put on their act together and then he is gone. She is at a loss after he is gone, but then as she finds out more about his life (something which he was very closed off about) she begins to come to terms with his secrets and her own place in the world.
Debra (USA: OR) (2018/03/05): Description: Publisher: Harvest Books Pages: 368 Book Type: Paperback Publication Date: 9/17/1998When Parsifal, a handsome and charming magician, dies suddenly, his widow Sabine -- who was also his faithful assistant for twenty years -- learns that the family he claimed to have lost in a tragic accident is very much alive and well. Sabine is left to unravel his secrets, and the adventure she embarks upon, from sunny Los Angeles to the bitter windswept plains of Nebraska, will work its own magic on her. Sabine's extraordinary tale will capture the heart of its readers just as Sabine herself is captured by her quest.
